Develop physical and intellectual growth on exciting gym equipment.   Enhance gross motor skills and creativity by running, climbing, hopping, jumping and tumbling.  Early co-operative games are introduced through fun props such as beanbags, balls, hoops and dances ribbons. Exciting theme based art projects are incorporated into every class.

*Perry Street Playgroup

The Perry Street Playgroup offers active children a play-based curriculum that stimulates their natural curiosity as they explore new ideas. Play centers such as blocks, dramatic play, a reading corner, science and art, fine and gross motor play encourages young children to engage and think creatively. This program includes: group welcome, circle songs and storytelling, large and small group activities, art and sensory play, and science and math exploration. Each class includes with 30+ minutes of gym time.  A small teacher-child ratio ensures individualized attention and comfort as children make the first transition into separation and build trusting relationships with his or her teachers.  A keepsake portfolio is prepared for your child by the staff.  This will include photographs, anecdotes, and work samples will show parents how their children are learning. 2-3 yrs; Two classes per week (Mon&Wed)

Music

Listening Toolbox 

The Listening Toolbox class for babies through age 1 year is designed to help parents and caregivers integrate musical creativity into baby’s everyday routine, as well as to expose babies to the sensory wonder of live music making.  Babies and grown-ups will get to hear, see, and touch instruments from every family of the orchestra, played live. 

Each class will include an eclectic selection of music from the traditional classical, jazz, and world music repertory.  The class will be lead on a musical journey, while the teacher introduces ways that parents and caregivers can jumpstart their baby’s musical aptitude during the first year, the most important for musical learning.

Listening Toolbox 

Music program for ages 1-3 years is designed to create a sense of wonder, creativity, and excitement about music for the child.  The class will involve plenty of musical movement games, exploration of voice, rhythm development, action and finger play songs, and children will be encouraged to participate in improvisation and creation of their own rhythms and tunes, as well as critical listening to musical examples and environmental sounds.  The class will get to hear, see, and touch instruments from every family of the orchestra, played live.  Each class will include an eclectic selection of music from the traditional classical, jazz, and world music repertory.  The Listening Toolbox classes for children are a perfect prelude or accompaniment to more serious private music study.  12 mos-3 yrs; $565

Bluegrass For Kids

Kids will experience traditional folk music and classic children's songs through singing, dancing, movement and games. They'll also get to try out the guitar, fiddle, banjo, and mandolin, plus homemade instruments like the washboard and spoons.

Rock n’ Roll For Kids     

This semester, we go "back to the roots" with the bluesy, hard-driving sounds of Little Richard, The Who, Aretha Franklin,
Credence Clearwater Revival and the Allman Brothers Band. Kids will work up a sweat on the dance floor, then settle down for some no-nonsense experience with electric guitars, a drum set, and an open microphone.

Construction Station

Children advance beyond block building in our Construction Station. This exciting art program lets children learn how to design, build and construct their very own 3-D art projects!  Roads, towers and bridges are just some of the structures to be introduced and created with metal, wood, clay, fabric and paper.

Kid Delish

Tickle your taste buds with flavors from around the world!, Come experience the  world of international cuisine, as each week kids make a new foods from different destination.   We will visit China, England, Peru, France and more!  Keep your memories of this class, with a keepsake cookbook that contains all the recipes we use. Children will receive 20 minutes of gym time while all the good stuff cooks!

Little explorers observe cool science materials, have imaginary journeys, make projects, experiment and play as they learn about nature, physics and chemistry.  Little people are great physicists and love to watch balls bounce, make static electricity and more.  Budding naturalists will also observe rocks, learn about weather, leaves, bugs and more!

Open Play: 

Enjoy free play in our beautifully sunlit Grand Playroom.  Children may explore our Tunnel & Towers, Big Mountain Climber, Zoo Cubes, Crawl Tunnels, plus exciting toys and manipulatives. 6mos-5yrs; ;non registered $12

Drop In Program:

Baby Moves drop-in classes are ongoing for children accompanied by parents or caregivers and constantly updated through our weekly theme based curriculum.  Creative Play classes are priced at $28 per class.  Discounted 5 & 10 pack class cards are available for $135 & $240 respectively.
